@surreal sparrow Personal opinion but i think you should nix the tree in front of ables since it's kinda in the way and put something green (bushes/flowers/hedges) where the bamboo is.

the reason why the trees are there is because there's a residential district nearby, i'll post it in a moment. my biggest problem was how to change the design of the old res district so it merged with the main street

I’d say keep some trees because you will eventually need the materials for diy (it’s a lot cheaper than buying the diy crafted items)
What can help is making a section for a fruit orchid on your island. Or you can pick up the trees and move them to a section you’re not going to be working on for a while as you build. I kept about 25 fruit trees and 5 pine trees, then I incorporated my bamboo tree into my rock garden.

@harsh solar what do you mean by building? you cannot move town hall if thats what you mean. If you mean villager houses/museum/shops then nevermind! 🙂 Shifting building around can be accomplished by talking to nook in town hall

@hoary osprey i reckon it is, if you want to give them yards. so far I've given my villagers a library, local park, beachside seating and cafe, as well as a zen garden, but i chose not to give my villagers much space around their houses

@proper coral just take your design app and make a transparent canvas (paint option that is white with lines through it) then use that as a custom path

I used cliffs when I did my rocks because setup is easy and I hadn't terraformed anything yet so I didn't care about the mess

@hoary osprey generally it depends on the villager, but if you give musical instruments (piano etc) to your music lovers, gym equipment for your sports types and boardgames or books for your education types that would work
