Opnions needed

Hey guys I’m just about to start working on my neighbourhood area and I’m stuck between 2 different styles of how I want to do it (I know people will say it depends on your theme or what style your going for) but I want the opnions of what you guys would rather like to see

So I’m thinking of either going for a modern style neighbourhood with flower beds and trees all down the middle isles, these will not have customised yards or anything just the houses like seen in the first photo or having them placed around in a line with each house having customised yards but a more smaller area between them like in the second photo

@nocturne shard cottagecore is a really great idea, there’s so many cottagecore islands and there’s always a lot of inspo out there. if you wanted to do a hiking theme i’d recommend using lots of signs and directions. i’ve also seen a lot of people line up their bikes so it looks like a bike rental if you’d want to try that

@main hazel i think it’s because it’s on a small raised bit of land. usually inclines lead to bigger areas. i’d also recommend making it more into a cafe. maybe add a few stalls? you can also use the dark wood pathing to make a nice flooring. i think you should either make the 2nd level much bigger or maybe just demolish it and create a bigger cafe

here are some examples of small personalized tiny yards for villagers! the key imo is that i change the fencing to match each villager, change out the flowers to match their house and/or fav colors, and include 1-2 pieces of furniture in front/behind that fits them! and then i use the extra space for ~community areas~ so it doesn’t feel like my villagers don’t have their space! villager houses in the pics: 1) flurry-stu, 2) biskit, 3) erik-cherry, 4) cyd, 5) audie-poppy!

What I’d personally suggest is making a map and planning out your island beforehand, that’s what really helped me ultimately. I still made some changes along the way but having a guide to follow is just so much more helpful than trying things and not knowing where to even start

@restive tangle I use the screenshot button on the switch. Then I send the pics and videos to my twitter, then save them to my phone. If you hold the ss button it will capture video of the previous 30 seconds of playtime.
