It's hard deciding which flowers to decorate your island with. Some people do all white. Some people do pairs of colors like blue and purple. Some do all the colors/random. And I think they all look nice. I can't decide which to do for myself

@errant plume mine isn't extremely close, but I hid my resident services with cliffs to make it seem farther away. You can also make the path leading up to it winding and curvy so that it seems like a long way away. Both of those things are perfect for the cottagecore theme as well! :))

I've seen other people put cliffs near their resident services, but usually when it's in front of it, they have a little path cutting through the middle

I'm not particularly happy with my villager's neighborhood (top left) or my orchard (bottom right), i dont have any entrance really....the plaza/shops area feels like something is missing.....overall i dont feel like theres a theme or anything like that, and i dont know what to do with the empty spaces

So I’ve just gotten to thinking about building up my neighbourhood area, I’m stuck on going between two choice so I want to know what you guys would like better (I know it can depend on island theme and stuff but I just want opnions)

So I’m either thinking of having like a closer together and more modern area with no customised yards or anything but instead flower beds and trees and chairs in the middle like in the first photo or either going for more a different area with having all them together still but will have small customised yards and more of a different neighbourhood feel like in the second photo

@cyan glen seems very heavy on stone. Maybe break it up with some trees/shrubs/flowers. You can also use them to create an intersection for the three different directions you can go

Is it worth planting trees if it affects how your island looks? I wanted to make an area with all the different fruit trees because I thought it’d make financial sense but now that I see you don’t get much money out of foreign fruits I wonder if I should just scrap the idea. @vivid oasis use furniture (table and chairs) that are the same color so for example you can use light brown rattan chairs and tables. You can download custom designs to place as a cafe floor, however, I think the wood path that comes with the terraforming app works just fine. The key is to develop a theme; all the furniture are the same color and the stall matches the furniture in wood color and fabric design
