@regal jungle generally layout can be such a pain- the best thing to do is slowly build up items and landscape small sections, and then you can change them as you add more stuff- i think the main thing is to know that nothing is permanent and you can be creative as you want

(These photos are not mine) Would you guys rather see a more fancy built together neighbourhood with flowers and chairs in the middle sort of area like in the first photo or like a neighbourhood area where they all have more customised yards and stuff like in the second photo

Personally I like the first option but some people love the individualities of their villagers more so the 2nd allows you to be more creative for your villagers

@thin maple all I did for my entrance was a 2 by 5 clif one block out from the airport then I made two small 3 wide waterfalls and with the remaining land on the cliff I placed fancy flowers and two signposts one pointing to my homes and the other to the shop

sadly this will look a little less impressive near the airport - because it goes from level 3, to 2, to 1, then back up for the waterfalls. and you can't start on level 3 for your airport
