@snow stratus organize your stuff to suit the forward-facing orientation. so like a cliff with trees on it, then trees, then house, then a path, then river (all horizontal) with trees in between. that way the trees are more of the backdrop and used to frame areas. horizontal rivers are nice to create something natural if you want dense trees but leave room for you to be able to see.

An idea for those of you who are absolutely stumped on how to decorate your island like I am, I had an idea to sketch out the island itself with only what I can’t move on it, and the island is completely clear (no elevated ground). If you have a piece of paper, a pencil, a ruler (for the lines) and an eraser for small mistakes, I think this’d be a great idea for people who don’t want to waste any more bells moving buildings around only to not like what they’ve done later on. (The stuff at the bottom are just notes and ideas to keep yours thoughts organized)
