@rugged rain just do small areas at a time! It’s much more manageable that way and you can just go where inspiration takes you! Once I stopped comparing my island to others it got a lot more fun. Easier said than done because it’s a natural thing for me. Just stick with your own style and you’ll be a lot happier when working (you can obviously take inspiration but don’t lose your own sense of style in the process!)

@rugged rain it’s a very hard thing to break yourself of but once you do you’ll start having fun! I’m still working on my island but I’m pretty happy with the progress I’ve made with each section. Trying to do it all at once is just a stressful thing to do! I know some people are meticulous planners but I’ve personally just been going where the wind takes me. The nice thing is most of the buildings can be moved. I moved a bunch of mine the other day and it’s helped my island feel a bit more cohesive.

@tender cradle You could use a stone stool or bamboo stool. Since the cushions are short, the stools look like mini tables!

@warm thorn if you extend your sand downwards one more, you could move your tables down and fit another poolside lounge chair. Some orange and yellow flowers to replace the patterns might help make it pop more too. I like the color scheme though, looks great

@quasi torrent I added sand like others mentioned but I also made a mixed surface with dirt and sand. Then planted a couple weeds for texture. Just have to change the weeds every couple days be they get too big
