@exotic barn island designing is a lot of work. You will have more luck by increasing your budget and commissioning someone who specializes in designing for other people. People typically charge millions of bells or many nmt for this kind of project.

@distant valve i've planned my last two builds in advance which really helped me (took a screenshot of my map and used paint to draw on it). my favorite new technique is to use the path tool to outline my planned changes, which allows me to use the map to check how the outline looks before i actually do the complicated terraforming stuff
