These are the terms I search for to find inspiration - since most of them are cube work, it's pretty easy to translate a lot of these designs to the game

@spring sentinel to make flowers stop growing I make a custom design transparent and place it as a path around the flowers, if that makes sense

that’s a good option too! you could also add any of the “miscellaneous” items (coffee mugs, magazines, plants, really anything) would look good on the stall! maybe add a trash bin off to the side, a table area for people to sit in (someone mentioned this already). there’s a lot to do with that area, and i hope you found an idea you liked! i can’t wait to see how it turns out

depending on what type of look you’re going for - if you’re going for a park/sitting area, i would try to stick with that theme, or if you’re going for a cafe i’d stick within that category. i know this is vague, but you’ve got plenty of options, and any one you choose will look great (:

@woven drift plan out the rest of your island! add a river/water, add pathways, add as much detail to that as you can so when you’re ready to change up your island, you have a clear picture of what you’d like to do!

@woven drift maybe you could add a river going from the left entrance around your buildings, and going straight through the middle of your neighborhood to the other entrance. maybe add a bridge or two so your villagers can walk from either side. totally your choice!

Now the only problem I have then is that I have a bunch of different platforms that's just loose which I'm a bit iffy about. I want the island to have a sort of natural and cozy look to it as well, and the waterfalls look a bit too artificial. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to tie the platforms into the rest of the island?

@sage jasper this was something i wanted to test out cause i always liked gaps between rivers and bridges
tldr i terraformed to the 2nd layer and made a sort of H like shape for the bridges to connect, i then used the water terraform tool and made waterfalls around them
then, i destroyed a few of the 2nd layer and made it into the 1st, making it look like the river is lower

@tiny wing i dealt with a similar issue until i eventually got rid of my waterfalls. you can always make them drain into a large pond, or make them curvy/wavy. it’ll make it look more natural. (:
