I think that probably the best thing to do if you only want to really use one river exit is to have a small waterfall really close to the other one so it looks more normal, imo

@molten gust I set up so each house is 6 squares in between, 2 on the sides and 3 in the front if that makes sense/helps. It is enough space for small yards and trees and still looks like a cute neighborhood
