Nooo! You can get a lot done in a day without TT! You just have to be intentional and order your max from the catalog daily for things you need multiple of like lanterns and decor. :> so much of what makes an island good is paving and intentional spaces, and those things aren't TT dependent!

I'd recommend you to draw different draft maps of your town showing your main ideas and mix them. It takes a while to make an accurate plan of terraforming.

hmm. well, if your resident services isnt centered, build how u want it literally. wherever it goes doesn't really matter as long as u make it work. if u want it to look nice on the map, i'd center it based on the center of the actual map. (because centering it off the resident services would be hard to keep going)

If you need symmetry with your path, you can always put two inclines on each side instead of one in the middle.

Doing the same thing as kimcokim here are two areas that I'm proud of. The first is a kind of gathering area venue thing, like where you would hold a wedding reception, and the second is the area immediately over the bridge to the residential area. I didn't notice this until now, but the two houses in the image belong to my first two villagers on my island!

After many many many hours of terraforming and house moving, here is my island! I’ve still got some planting to do, but I’m really proud of how it came out.
If you’re curious, in order to do this I completely tore down my entire island to floor one. Removed all trees, moved all flowers and buildings to the beach, and worked from there! 🤗

@brittle crescent Yep! You can squeeze them all onto the beach if you're careful. I recommend looking up the dimensions of island homes and placing custom design squares as placeholders for where you want them. That way you can make them all nice and even!
