@boreal bobcat technically thats a good way to start. its like when you are learning to draw. its sometimes almost essential to trace and reference but over
time you learn about little bits that can make it unique and you can turn to your own ideas.
Dont think its bad at all to copy other peoples concepts at the start if you are trying to get your foot in the door.

@main plume do a design kind of like this. when you want it to start curving begin having the river curve slightly naturally by moving both sides slightly in a direction. and then continue on one section while the rest makes a sharper turn and repeat

@onyx swan I would reccomend trying to through in use of the 3rd tier of cliffs for some spots. maybe on one of the pathways going somewhere have some stairs go up along an area for a bit then back down since you arent using as many inclines currently

Well if you are doing 5 of each non native fruit thats like 25 trees so you need a decent amount of space, the area by that bride up on the 2nd
level could be your best choice by having a set of trees before and after the bridge. you could fence off that zone kind of and make it look like a big orchard zone.
if you going with that many trees its gonna be a bit hard (in my opinion) to make it look cozy without cramming them everywhere. @chrome prairie

and another cool fact in my island, there are the 3 sections in my island and each one will have a different stone pathing, the city-like area where all the houses and businesses are have the stone brick to match the bridges but the section of the museum has stone path and the empty big plot has arch stone path
so i think it will be a nice style in my island

@chrome prairie so something like this possibly. you;d need extra space on the bottom spots if you'd like to shake the tree and not have the fruit fall into the fence. using fence like this makes it its own area and divides it neatly for 4 fruit types

def would at least reccomend putting some more cliffs around the area. maybe something in the middle?

I wanted this to be a more natural feeling area of my island, so I kept it that way. I also planted red of every flower variant to pull together the heart shape even more and cherry trees to keep the theme of red going. The cosmos's finally bloomed today.

I need placement help/ideas. I’m placing all my villagers in their own area and I’m not sure how big to make the plots. I’m currently mapping it out. I want each villager to have a small yard on the side (or the front) so I can either place some greenery or something small to match their personalities. I’m just not sure how much area is ideal. I’d love to see your guys’ villagers homes if you have yards for them
