Question for island layouts? How do I do from this monstrosity to this? Is it impossible?

it's definitely possible! i would first recommend forming the land into the correct shape so you have that space, then move your houses 1 by 1, and then add your decorations

ofc you'd have to move the houses up on the cliff first before you can remove it in order to make that space flat

overall it's pretty solid except you can't change where the rivers lead out onto the ocean unfortunately :c

At one point, she just wouldn’t stop talking about flowers. So I kept planting and planting. And then suddenly, she told me something different. As long as I worked on her active suggestion, I breezed straight through to 5 stars.

And if you’re using custom paths, place the default paths first, then put the custom paths over it. It creates physical roads for them to walk on. Though my villagers do whatever they want regardless. The in-game paths are the only ones that appear on the map anyway. So I always place them underneath custom paths.
