i think the best thing to do is to adapt to what you have. it limits the amount of shit you can do based on what you see on videos, but it's also helpful because it narrows down possibilities for you

@haughty grail make a square with the cliffscaping tool then inside that make the black outline of the Rose. Fill in the outside part after that. Inside the first outline dig holes in the place of the gray outline. Then everywhere else put water. Then Fill up all the holes and it should be done

You should vary your waterways on different levels I think, and make smaller streams or ponds that feed into the main river

idk what to do :c thinking about getting rid of my custom paths.

I thought the island designer app would make my custom paths harder to erase and show up on the map like the real paths, so I redid all of my paths in my old custom paths with the custom design permit in the app. Then I accidentally erased a part of my brand new terraformed path when i picked up an item and i died inside

so now idk what to do. 😦 do i redo my paths with in-game ones so i can see it on the map and not accidentally erase them all the time?

Custom paths can look great, but they're a mixed bag- some of them just don't scale well to HD .
One of the best types of path is using a pre-made path and then adding borders to it through transparent patterns.

I partially agree, arterius. It's definitely lacking in the NPC department, but I'm content with the furniture options. While I initially thought the furniture selection was worse, once I found out that almost every old set returned except with a different name or being slightly redesigned I feel much more content with what I have. The new furniture sets make up for the removal of a handful of options.
