Itās not necessarily hard to spread 10 houses over the top 1/4 of your map, but if youāre looking for more space then youāll want to work in district style where youāre fitting your entire villager base within the space of ~10x30 squares

hmm personally I like putting a bridge close to each river mouth, makes it a lot easier when you're running along your beach fishing/clam collecting/shell collecting/etc
you might also want one up on the cliffs so you can get across without having to go all the way down and around or using vault pole
if you set up your bridges right you don't need vaulting pole at all

Yeah turnips are really the way to go. I bought 2 invs full of turnips, found someone with an island buying them for about 600ea, and it netted me nearly 5mil. Enough to do all the house moving and bridge/incline building I needed, plus nearly enough spare to finish all my house payments (only have the last payment left but my house is fully upgraded otherwise)

i think im confident enough to share my island's before and after, based off wutai from ffvii! i still have a lot to do like personalize my villagers' houses but im pretty happy with it for now

it depends on what kind of map you wanna go for, more city and urban areas are squarish, nature is more roundish, and maybe u just want ur 1 island to be a series of island
