Some bits need to change near the bottom when I get around to fixing my flower beds (some of the ovalish shapes are flower beds, some are fruit trees) but this is mostly complete! Got a bustling town in the south with a lovely nature trail and campsite in the north

I made some plans (rough sketch, because it's to tedious to draw it 1:1) but I'm not sure with everything. I want a pretty natural mountain area. I'm not sure what to do with the city (planning on doing a lot of flowers), but maybe dragging a tiny little river and pond into the "city core" would make it a bit more natural and scenery. @woven drift i found it really helpful to look at some inspo and then take a pic of my current map and play around with it in a drawing programme with the positioning of cliffs, rivers, ponds houses etc and to do that several times to see what layout works!!

@lone spear yep I’m trying on a paper to do things but the thing that is quite difficult for me is the rivers cuz the two ends are on the same side, I try to make something that is not symmetric but I think I don’t have the choice to do so

Well a lot of museums actually have sculpture displays at their front entrances. I'm a fan of displaying a completed fossil out front. If you can find a horizontal 2 piece fossil you like it would fit perfectly at the front on the top ledge at the waterfall. I personally like the Megacero (The giant deer one). You could also put it where you're standing and build a little mote around it if you want to see the entrance of the museum instead.

My best tip for everyone overall is when u start large terraforming projects don’t let yourself get too stressed out, plan everything out ahead of time, lay out a base, and do everything in layers and sections! If you start too many areas at once you’ll feel anxious

i have my villagers compact in some sort of block enclosement but its still their own living space, since you want to make them feel like they are just like you, maybe dont enclose them in fences like I do? maybe just pave a not so straight road and have them line up there

@woven drift House would be cute next to the heart lake, you could incorporate it into your house. Villagers can be in section 6, E-C having two villagers per acre, and giving them a yard and stuff

i've seen a lot of people use the wooden stakes recipe, that you get at the beginning of the game, and customize those though and use it as some sort of fencing

animal crossing is punishing TTers who are terraforming already by releasing cafes and stuff (probably) later on so we've already built our islands and will have to sit there and struggle with where to fit the new devlopments lmao
