If you guys ever want to mass terraform do what I call hatching, it’s the most efficient way to remove a large chunk of hill.
If you try to dig next to an already existing tunnel it’ll do the corner smash thing, so just dig where it’s covered from both sides

And you can breed hybrids yourself. That's basically all it takes to make a town look "extravagant", no need for expensive items that probably don't match the motif of your island anyway
Only thing I'd say is marginally necessary (not really though) is streetlights which are like 1000 nook miles each, though some people can order them despite them saying not available in my catalogue

I think it depends on what's at each end of the path. Bridges are 2 tiles wide so I tend to use 2 tile paths coming from those, but other times you want it centered around something so you want 3

And before u lay down the paths I would recommend u getting all paths first and then chose what u want to place down, the first path u get is really ugly so speaking from own experience don’t place it down
