Um how did the creator make the path like that fuzzy ? Cause the path code themselves are not like that
@lapis stratus Notice there's 1 transparent pixel on each design, meaning it's meant to be overlaid onto one of the default paths (probably dirt). That's how you get the fuzzy edge.

@stiff kelp I just started trying random patterns that I wanted so I am not exactly an expert. But it seems fairly simple, acpatterns.com let's you upload an image and then edit the pixels. You can just try to draw something, place it on the ground/clothes and play around to get a feel of things.

@lilac harness thanks!! i'm also playing around, but i'm actually making the pattern in the game. it seems that items like the seashell fountain that are "off center" align on half a pattern. Like, one pattern square is divided into four squares, and looks like the fountain fits in one of thos squares

The site I mentioned is easier as it let's you make the pattern in more pixels and downscales it, so it's not as pixelated and smoother in game.

acpatterns also let's you split a pattern into many tiles, say for example you wanted to draw big shell that would go in a 2x2 spot, you can make a shell and them split it into 4 designs.

yes of course i get that, i've actually used to website to make some other stuff, what i'm actually looking for is how 1.5x1.5 items are placed on the grid

so i can find a way to center these items perfectly on my handmade patterns

mb, I misread it. Those are annoying unfortunately. I had seen some reddit posts complaining that shell fountain doesn't fit in a 2x2 grid. I have not had any case where I had to place a 1.5 item in a 2x2 yet unfortunately. Not sure if this is a good idea or if it works for what you are trying to do but maybe try rethinking the design as a 3x3?
