Does anyone have any recommendations for a good but affordable tablet and program for doing digital art? Looking for some advice as a beginner such as: what kind of resources helped you learn and get better?

@stark lodge hi! I suggest Wacom for a beginners tablet! It's a non screen tablet, but it's affordable!! For the program, I personally use and like Clip Studio Paint, but many people like Paint Tool Sai or FireAlpaca (free program) For me watching speedpaints and going through lots of tutorials and studying other people's work really helped I think! Your best friend will definitely be practice!! It takes time, but I wish you luck!!

Umm I have a tablet but it's a little expensive. And for my program it's trash so that's why I'm not doing digital art rn. As for getting better I would recommend starting off by learning how to sketch and outline, Then starting to learn how to work with dimension with colors,

But the sketching part really helps bc it helps you find your art style

yeah, i didn't really specify, i mean blending in the different shades of colours so it doesn't look harsh - basically like they fade into each other

I tend to not blend diff colors into hair because it can get complicated and such, but if u wanna, I suggest just tryna experiment since it could be a stylistic thing too
