I'd try to break out of the lines of the lineart more. Kind of how you did in the second piece. use less thick lines for your lineart and dont be afraid to texture the clothing and hair more etc. in the second pic the hair shine is kind of un natural because of how bright it is compared to the rest of the hair, hair shine stays relatively the same color as the rest of the hair as well as it corresponds with the light source, kind of like this reference @fierce trout ... sorry if I explained it poorly but I hope it helps.
