The DLC adds a whole chunk of stuff you can unlock for your home island on the DLC island, such as being able to edit villagers houses, having an app to sketch your main house anytime/anywhere, partition walls, sounds you can add to your rooms, change the lighting of a room, (change if the room has windows etc) change the stairs of a room, and more!
