I'm sure someone has mentioned this already, but scanning all of the villagers at once through Harv's Island will do the trick if you have a campsite villager you don't want to kick out. You WILL need to rescan the Amiibos even if you already scanned them before for the original posters.

The cards were released in the EU and Japan for New Leaf, and they will be re-released in the US on the 26th (I believe as a Target exclusive- please correct me if I'm wrong). They'll show up in the Promotions tab. If you previously scanned the cards, you'll need to scan them again for this update.

If you have the Amiibo, yes. It's in your Promotions tab. Someone without the Amiibos might need to confirm this, but I think like the posters, it won't show up in your catalog if you haven't scanned it yourself (but you can still get the item from another player).

inquiry: can you use pipes to cheat spawns? example, if i wanted to force spawns in the clifftop pond, could I jump between warp pipes to cause spawns so to avoid having to farm bait? or does this not work? (I tried testing a bit, after about 10 jumps there were no spawns, but after an extra accidental jump about 10~15 seconds later there was one, was wondering if anyone had done better testing)
