When I look online, I was seeing similar layouts. They say like a chess board, leaving one space for the hybrids to grow in between. I'm just basing my approach off this. Open to tips/corrections

The rose path from this chart is good you can't get mixed up so that's good, even if you get clones you can't mess up.
The checkerboard is overall popular but it is bad, I suggest a check with only 4 flowers, you can't get clones that way, you can multiply the checkers if necessary, or a multiple single pairs is also safer. If you need there are guides in #garden-science-info

Missing with the net won't lose durability and not sure but I think the rod only loses durability per catch

To add, the shovel only loses durability when hitting rocks, or digging up or burying an item - digging or filling empty holes does not consume any durability ^^
An axe will always lose durability when hitting a tree or a rock, but misses do not consume any.
Watering can will only consume durability when watering an unwatered flower.
For the slingshot, I think shots that do not pop a balloon still consume durability? That one I cannot exactly remember, sorry about that!

Can confirm they can leave before getting 10 villagers. Shino asked to leave when I had 6, then I kicked out Lyman at 8.

Also, I just realized that going to other people's islands (for turnips, trading, visiting, etc) opens your island to receive their voided villagers even without inviting.

I went to several islands to sell turnips, the next 3 open plots that I left to randoms to fill, were 3 voided villagers from other islands. I know this because they highlighted these peoples islands names in Pink and even referred to their names. So I guess the "Void" includes other people's autofill? Crazy haha

if you have weeds on the spots, you need to plant some weeds to prevent them from spawning there, in the morning, weeds are spawned before rocks, so if a weed is there a rock cannot take its place

Yeah leave a decent amount of space around the area. If weeds do appear then place some weeds around your island which in my understanding stops weeds from spawning there because the process in which weeds and rocks spawn. (Weeds spawn before rocks for some reason stopping the rock from spawning there)

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.

If you just want the star rating and the unlocks that come with it, then the easiest thing to do is to just literally place any and all items you have all around the island ^^ and to plant a large bunch of flowers and wait for them to grow. The number depends on what you already have there, but I wouldn't say it's overkill to do like, a 100 or so.

You can then clean up and make things nicer once you have gotten the unlocks.

Essentially, it's all about quantity
(oh, and make sure to have at least eight villagers. That is the one thing you absolutely must have to reach the rating)

Ohh, in that case, your next villager will be from ||the campsite||, which you will unlock a couple days after those three villagers' homes are furnished and they have all finished moving in. After you've got six, ||you can purchase plots from Tom Nook, to which you can invite villagers from either the campsite, mystery islands or other players' islands, or wait and let a random villager move in|| ^^

Essentially, you need to progress the story a bit more to get new villagers ^^

you can use a fc or a "dodo" code, which is a temporary password. To visit someon'e island they need to be online and have open their airport's gates. they need to tell you it's currently opened, and how they opened it, if they opened it "for friend" and you have their friend code, you can see the island. if they used a dodo code they need to communicate to you the dodo code for you to type it when the dodo asks

tldr, you need to communicate with your friend to know if their island is currently open and how

multiplayer on animal crossing is pretty tedious

if you want to see their island while they are offline, you can use the "dream" option, you'll also need to know the code (different type of code) of to friend's island

to dream, you need a house (not a tent) and to have unlocked the plaza if I'm not mistaken, lay on a bed in your home and you'll get the option if you have a working online subscription and a wifi connection

thats correct ! for your first three housing plots, you have to find them on NMT islands or let the plots autofill . you cant get them from other players until after your campsite villager moves in !

also worth noting, when you have your campsite set up (after the three plots quest), you have to move in that first campsite villager

Requirements:

• You must be able to launch AC:NH from the User Profile of the player you want to remove
• You cannot remove the Island Representative (The person who started and named the island) without deleting the island entirely

Instructions:

1. Launch AC:NH as the player you would like to remove.
2. When you get to the starting screen do NOT press A to start, instead press -
3. You will see Tom Nook sitting on a stool, read any warnings and click A to move on.
4. When he lists your options, choose Save data.
5. Skip through the dialogue by pressing A
6. Choose Delete resident registration
7. Skip through the dialogue and confirm by pressing the red Delete resident registration
   NOTE: ⚠️ This cannot be undone, The player's data will be permanently removed and all NPCs will also forget about them ⚠️
8. Once Tom Nook has confirmed it is done you can close the game from the home screen

A lot of the new recipes can also be found on bottles especially if you use Kapp'n tours they have high chances of being the new recipes since they use the new material present on the island. But if you didn't keep track of those reds then you can't not know which ones are the right ones.

No, if you read the guide the 2 special red have a 1.56% of producing a blue rose and the rest are other colours which also include red roses but not necessarily the genes you need.
Again, if you didn't keep track then it's better to restart

I have only done this twice, and I used some online guide I can't put my finger on.

But basically
1- ignore the villager, especially if they are chasing after you to talk to you,
2- TT like 15 or 20 days to 6am and listen to the announcments
3- TT to the same day around lunch time when villagers are out and about. Look for someone with the unhappy cloud. If that's your villager that you want gone, talk to them, if not
4 - TT reverse back to 6am and repeat steps 2 and 3 until the target villager has the cloud

As long as they aren’t your most recent moved in and you have spoke to them at least once they can move out, it is random on who gets the thought bubble. a villager will want too move out every 15 days I’m sure so I follow the method below and skip day by day till the bubble ends on the villager you want too leave (excluding event days/birthdays)

you are now locked. if you finished the conversation at any point she won't change her mind on who she picks. For future reference, if you see a camper asking for a villager you want to keep, close the game as soon as the name pops up and try to invite the camper again once you booted the game back.
Unfortunately given that you answered once, the game is saved and the choice is locked

What he sells every visit is random - he'll eventually have it in his inventory. ^^ You can also on rare occasions find sugarcane on ||Kapp'n islands, if you have him unlocked|| (the requirement is ||a 3-star island rating||).
And if you have Switch Online, you can also trade with another player to get some - you can post an offer in #food-and-recipe-trade for that

it actually would have had to be light rain, as they wont spawn in snow despite what the in-game guide says (as nours stated)
and the light rain in the game can be very light

Yes, but you need to add the players as best friends first, in order to give them permission to use a shovel on your island. ^^ Here's the steps to do it:

1. Make sure both parties have the Best Friends app downloaded on their Nookphone (to obtain it, talk to Orville and choose one of the "friend"-options for the first time, e.g. open my island for friends only)
2. Have the player who is coming to pick up the flowers visit the island from which flowers are being picked up
3. Add each other as Switch friends, if not already (now that you are on the same island, a very easy way to do this is through the Recently played with -list! Go to your Switch profile, Friends tab, and it should be there)
4. Add each other as best friends through the NookPhone app; you should show up there now that you have played together and are Switch friends!
5. Once best friends, the visitor can use their shovel to dig up your flowers.

Have you made sure to have enough water on your clifftop river? It may not be possible to show up without enough room and the right time. Just luck otherwise

I'm trying to fill my critterpedia (fishing) and have being using time traveling to go from month to month but I was wondering if there was a better method or times to fish so that I don't have to deal with too much overlap with previous month's fishes. Any ideas?

i.e. Fish A spawns from Jan to March and Fish B spawn from Feb to Apr so if I caught fish A, I should go to Apr so I can catch Fish B with higher odds

It's likely that the creator did not use any of the preset palettes, but made a custom one using the paint tube tool to edit the colours ^^

When breeding, flowers pick a random neighbor to reproduce with, that wasn't picked by another flower yet, and if none are available it just clones
Which means that here the layout on the right can lead to cloning if some flowers are stuck among only neighbors that already picked each other and forced to clone instead, while the layout on the left guarantees that each pair of two flowers will only have their one neighbor to breed with and is therefore guaranteed to not create clones

They are all notoriously bad at fishing. It's flavor text but true. You will never see them catch anything either. Perfectly normal

Goodmorning! I started new (not voluntarily) and i do see the benefits of doing so. One of it is to plan ahead. I am a person who wants things nicely decorated, but the parts where i play farmer (orchard and the fields with veggies) should be nice and clean, and easy to harvest.

Anyone has any tips on how many per fruit or veggie to plant, and how many normal trees and cedar trees i must have left when i am done? And how many bamboo ?

The first time you give Pascal a scallop, you will always get a mermaid furniture DIY (ItemFrom = DIYPearl), even if you have already learned all the DIYs (e.g. by trading).

Otherwise, if you have not learned all the DIYs* and cataloged all the mermaid clothing, there is a 50% chance of receiving a pearl, and a 50% chance of receiving either a DIY you don’t have or a piece of mermaid clothing you have not cataloged (equal chance of receiving any particular reward).

Otherwise, there is an 80% chance of receiving a pearl and 20% chance of receiving a piece of mermaid clothing.

Yes, it's all up to luck - you're just getting unlucky, assuming you are fishing at the correct time and place (a clifftop river at 4pm-9am, in December-March [NH] or June-September [SH]). Hope you will catch it soon ^^

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.
