Hey! So another acnh gamer has a problem with placing an item! They want to place the atlas moth model in the same type of narrow space but only one of the models fit! We have been discussing back and forth why they are different sizes but we can’t figure it out! Does anyone know how this happens and if there is a way to make them both take up the same 1x1 square space?💕

No you can invite a villager immediatelly! Any time there is an empty, unreserved plot on your island, you can invite one. 🙂 Also, the plot is only guaranteed to stay empty for one single day, after that a random villager might move in, so it might be smart in some cases to postpone placing it till you are ready to find a villager (e.g. have collected an alright number of Nook Miles tickets etc.)

I'm trying to get 5 stars and I saw that clutter can be an issue. I have a flower bed that is pure flowers for more than an 8x8 section. Does this count as clutter?

if there are 45 or more items placed in any single 8x8 block, meaning that 45 out of the 64 blocks are occupied by a placed item, the rating will likely not be higher than 4 Stars. However naturally occurring items shouldn't affect your island rating.

When you confirm a villager is moving at a future date, when you travel back it registers as that day having not happened yet, so yeah Tangy basically got voided because you “hadn’t met her” yet on the real date and she was replaced randomly as is customary when you leave a plot “open” for a day

Mostly preference - but a lot of users have fenced off areas that could be accessed by diving and going around the fences. So by not allowing visitors to wear wetsuits, it helps the host keep the inaccessible areas untouched :)

• then they asked me to craft them something

Your plot may autofill if you've visited other players' islands or had other players visit yours. The good news is you can pick which villager the amiibo villager replaces when you invite them to live on your island, but it does take three days of inviting them to the campsite

How can I change the colour of vines. Crafted vine objects I can, and in paradise planning you can choose but is there no way to choose for vines placed on your island? Is it just a seasonal change?

To unlock the museum, give 5 different critters (bugs, fish, or sea creature) to Tom Nook.
• If both of these are met, Tom Nook will announce that Resident Services will be closed the following day for construction. The day after that you’ll have the building! (You can time travel to make this process quicker.)

I've been playing ACNH on my Switch Lite for a little while, wanted to start a new game but couldn't get around to saving my important items, money, or stuff like that.
Now I've had to buy a new Switch (OLED) since my Lite is in a highly damaged state, and I thought it would be a nice moment to start a new game on the new console.
My question is, if I do that, can I, later on, get my Lite's file's character to deposit important items and money on my OLED's file's island? Provided I borrow a second cartridge from someone.

If it’s functional enough to navigate the game then I’d say go for it.

Since you have the new switch in hand- no reason not to try. You could even just make a quick “new island” and then immediately attempt local play to test it.

Then when you’re confident it’ll work you can take delete that and take your time setting up your new island. (This is assuming you care about starting maps, and starter villagers etc)

If it doesn’t work, you will still have the option to transfer your old island to the OLeD if that’s your preference

As far as ik there's a way to delete the save data for that account so I'd suggest trying save data and seeing if that's an option

When a gift is "safe", the villager will never display it in their home 🙂

If you are going for photos, two wrapped non-native fruit or any wrapped assessed fossil are solid options that are both safe and fill the price requirement for a chance of a photo

Dodo codes are only valid for a short time period ^^ when you open your gates, you start a session that has its own unique dodo code; when you close the gates or the internet connection is disturbed, the session will end and the dodo code will go invalid! And you need a new one to visit again. You can look in #island-hangouts🛩️🏝️ to find people who can give you an active dodo code 🙂

Yes, you can time travel to tomorrow to have him in boxes and it won't glitch your game.

Another thing to note: villagers will STRONGLY gravitate towards walking paths you create (the official ones made with island designer, not custom).

So if you make a little walking path loop around the zones you want them to stay, they are very likely to hang around there.

You can also create a limited nature path elsewhere on the island- so when they do escape and are wandering they will PROBABLY be near or on that path instead of wandering randomly.

If your sound is on you can just use the sound of the stars falling as an indicator. You'll probably miss the first star but for a light shower they come in clusters of 5 in a minute so it'll be fine

1. You need a dodo code to visit strangers via online connection! Go talk to Orville -> I want to fly -> Visit someone -> Via online play -> Enter a dodo code. Then input your code! The codes are created when someone opens their gates, and are valid only until the gates are closed! After that you need a new dodo code for the new session. For how to generate your own dodo code, see the bot message below! And you can find people to visit in #island-hangouts🛩️🏝️ 🙂 Also, if you are Switch friends with someone, you can visit them without a dodo code by choosing Visit a friend, if said friend specifically chose to invite all their friends when opening their gates!
2. Once you have bought Custom Design Pro Editor using miles, there will be a new tab in your custom design app! (Switch pages with L and R). In there you have Pro design slots, which can be used to create clothes, among some other things. When you start making a design there, it gives you several options for what kind of clothing you want to make. Once you are done, save it, and you can choose to wear it by clicking on it in the app and choosing to wear it (they can also be added to wands).

It’s a cool idea for ppl to drop tips safely when they visit… except Nintendo decided 1000bells was the max so ppl still just drop 99k stacks of bells loosely as tips.

The only gimmick that’s “kinda” cool, is if you fill it with bells, then sell it back to Nook’s on a day where “donation box” is a hot item, then it will payout 1.5x what you put in.

But it’s kinda only good at the beginning when you have very few recipes so it comes up more often as the hot item.

Hi! So the next day in-game they will be in boxes for a day, that’s when you can let another player adopt them if you’d like. After 5:00 am the following day (at the start of a new in-game day) that’s when the plot will be empty. That’s when you can hunt or adopt a villager from another player!

to catch them, personally i walk super slow while holding my net. make sure you STOP moving when it rears up/hisses at you. basically walk as slow as possible until you get close enough to catch !

if you wanna do it for asthetics or piece of mind that's fine- just know that it's not necessary for growth. All you need is enough space between saplings and keeping 12 or less in a 9x9 grid

You will get 10k miles by remodelling your villagers homes, it cost 9k bells each so 90k bells for 10 villagers. 1k miles each house. you’ll get 10k miles each day plus the first 5 nook miles tasks of the day with 5x and 2x depends on you how much tasks you want to do that day then save and tt forward. rinse and repeat

As other suggestions, you can get some free 800 Nook Miles by visiting another player's island once each day (locally or online), and some by logging into the ATM machine at resident services every day
Other than that, the other easy ways are to just grind the Nook Miles+ tasks you receive, notably the first 5 that gives bonus points every day

(If you haven't unlocked Nook Miles+ tasks, iirc you need to upgrade your tent to a house)

if the villager asked today you said yes, the next day they will be in boxes - this is the time you can have someone adopt them if you like, then the day after plot is empty and you can go hunting all day until 4:59am the next day or the plot might autofill with a random villager. it does not matter if you tt back or forward a few hours on the same day except when you bought turnips. do not tt back or they will spoil instantly

Depends what season and what time it is for you, I recommend either planting some trees (if you have none) cutting down some trees with an axe (if there are bugs that are found on stumps in-season), flowers are also a great way of getting bugs on your island

It all really depends if luck is on your side or not. There are methods that are most effective, however, they will be very time consuming if you're not lucky (which for the record, most of us aren't lucky, like AT ALL). When I wanted to move out a villager via TT, it took me up to an hour and with a years worth of time skipping.

I think it's best you do it before you put the bridge down, but just so you know, hunting for your favourite villagers usually isn't easy (unless you're looking for any that are good enough for you)

It's very rare, my advice is to pick flowers and remove tree stumps to prevent extra bugs from spawning, this'll increase the chances of a cicada shell spawning, also, for the record, alot of people have trouble identifying cicada shells, if you run right next to one, it will not be scared and fly away like other bugs (I know this makes sense since it isn't really a bug, more like the remains of one, but it helps when in search of one) so do not hesitate to run around your trees and scare away any other bugs that are possibly preventing it from spawning. One more piece of advice, if you find one, try to ready your net a little bit further from the tree than normal to lower the risk of shaking the tree and making the shell fall off

The RNG for the moveout process we recommend isn’t perfect by any means but villagers still ask to move out from time to time. You’re never bound to who you currently have with you at any given time

It’s never like “you’ve got your 10 and can never change anyone now”

The last villager to move in at any given time will never ask to leave but if you replace an older villager with someone, that someone becomes your newest

Like if you had gotten Fauna, and then Apple asked to move and you got Bob the cat to replace her, Bob is now your latest to move in and won’t ask to move out unless someone else new comes in

All villagers have personalized houses. But the first 5 villagers you obtain in the game won’t get those. They get a different kind of default only related to their personality type
