Hey, unfortunately there's no way to stop time in the first phase of the day while setting up the menu. You can plan for the next day during the cleanup phase though, so you should be able to achieve what you want for every day after the first. Sorry for the inconvenience, we'll look into it.

well, if your not playing with infinite money and want to create a dish you would lose so much money on the first day due to time starting automatically.

You can also try going to your house/apartment place to design your own dishes without the customers. It starts your house with a ton of ingredients.

You have to find the right door
I think its the delivery door, in the bottom right of your screen when you look at the door it should give you options of what you can do with the door. Like whether you press E or left click to do the right interaction. Also if you find the door maybe screenshot it here so others know how to get to the house.

it shows entry on the door (delivery door) but it won't allow you to leave it until the end of the day
