#deleted wrong save file bug?

hey team! having trouble with submitting a proper bug report as for some reason none of the commands you provided find my save file export, but just thought i'd let you know of a potential bug. i noticed 2 save files in career mode, one on day 4 with 1 star and one on day 32 with 5 stars. i made sure to select the day 4/1 star save file and delete it, but when i loaded what i thought was the day 32/5 star save to play, it loaded save day 4/1 star, and when i opened my log i found the 32 day/5 star save had been deleted! i definitely selected the correct file to delete so maybe the skins on the files switched or something or an in-game command went wrong.

When you say none of the instructions let you find your save file, do you mean that the file path doesn't exist or that it does exist but it's empty?

doesn't exist on my computer :) have gone through all the files i can manually too—downloads, apps etc. but no dice. i could def just be a noob but yeah having trouble finding the save files to open my deleted file and to attach for the bug report

Also, app data is usually a hidden folder so you may have to enable viewing hidden files and folders if you don't see it

ok, i found the hidden files with the saves! tried to "open with" and cooking sim app isn't available to choose from, and opening with steam doesnt launch the save. any ideas on how to load it?

Hi

#

so the save files should be here
\Documents\Wastelands-Interactive\CookingSim\Saves

#

If you have the save file in this folder but in the game you're not seeing it, try to turn off Steam Cloud and delete steam_autocloud from this folder.

#

If this doesn't help, please let us know.

hey there, turned off the cloud and deleted the autocloud file, still can't access the 32 day/5 star save file, only the 4 day/1 star save :)

Please show us the entire save folder.

the autocloud came back?? i deleted it like i would delete any other file--is there another way to delete it i don't know of?

From what I see, you don't have any manual save files other than automatic quick save.
Also, why do you have an error message?

#

Please show me the entire localization of the folder

i don't know!! that's always there for some reason. it doesn't appear when i open the file explorer, but it appears as soon as i interact with anything inside of it.

i also noticed that. my 32 day/5 star run was always labelled "quicksave" for some reason, even though i regularly manually saved it

#

the 4 day/1 star save file was previously named "custom menu" or something like that (automatically assigned that name by the game) but now that save file has the "quicksave" title

Quick saves are automatically overwritten, so maybe that is the reason why you don't have your save file.
It is good practice to create manual save files.
