I’ve been using the GPW and was quite happy with it until I wasn’t.
I’m a southpaw, so an ambidextrous shape and side buttons on both sides were a must, which is why I chose it over the GPX and similar models. However, the wheel and the middle button have started to act up, and I suspect it might soon develop the notorious double-click problem (or maybe not, but it isn’t as snappy as it used to be).
The market seems to focus too much on weight, so I’m not even sure I can find a mouse with side buttons on both sides like the GPW. These are extra weight for a lot of people, after all.
Anyways, I am looking for a new wireless mouse with;
Priorities:
Ambidextrous/symmetrical
Side buttons on both sides (I’m a leftie, so I use the right side buttons with my thumb and the left side with my ring finger)
No honeycomb design, no holes, etc.
Premium mouse, good QC
Wireless
Nice to haves:
Less weight than the GPW (at around 80g, that’s a low bar to clear, I guess )
USB-C charging
Plain, straightforward design
Less than $100 would be preferable, but there’s no strict budget.
