So it’s been nearly 2 full days with hundreds/thousands of preorders and nothing has increased in price so this leads me to think that the central market is currently broken and needs to be fixed.

There's math involved with pre orders, like how many pre orders and sales move the prices so far if they are done in a set period of time.
This is either set super high (for console) or it has a hidden cap, even though patch notes say 5b is the max for most.

yea thats crazy, so far ive gotten 200 imperfects (wind and earth) and thought for sure the price would go up. also gotten 2 blights
if its based on pc, its gonna be another week or two before we even see out first price increase
