Ok so I tried to participate in the event that just happened, but since it was my first time trying, I had no clue what to do. I just saw that on world chat there were supposed to be temporary titles for participants. I was on the Valencia server but I didn't get a temporary title and if I did I have no idea how to select it. Maybe I misread the temporary title part? Am I just not understanding what was going on? I read what little instructions there were on here but it said to just be on the Valencia server, which I was, but I didn't get a temporary title. I can't ask on in-game chat because people ignore me or make fun of me. If there's another event, what am I supposed to do? I have no idea what I'm looking for which I know that's the point of hide in seek, but if I ever find the person, what am I supposed to do? Also, would be nice for an announcement that said the contest was over so I don't keep running around wasting buffs. Maybe it's really simple and I'm just an idiot... that's why I'm asking here.

And you just needed to participate to get it, generally theyll ask you to type a keyword in general chat to confirm you were there
If you had typed hidden(gms name) in general chat least once youre probably good
It happend in heidel on valencia server so youd have to have been in that area for it

Temporary like it last a fee days from when the mail is opened (usually sent the next day during the 8 est reset) and deletes itself from title list after cd ends

Ok. So! I just participated in the transformed race event and I had to overcome many challenges! Hopefully I get counted for this one! Oh. I didn't get a platoon invite so does that mean I don't get counted? Anyways, I thought it was in a main place because I haven't been to where it was, but luckily my boyfriend was like oh that's over there. So I hauled butt over to where it was... killed my Pegasus because I didn't realize that you can't fly in towns meant you definitely can not fly off of towns high up... sigh. It was my Pegasus's first death. Luckily had that tear item I got from somewhere and was like yay! Because I was running late... anyways I was there before everyone. Thought I was in the wrong place and I kept looking at my boyfriend and he's all like I don't know I've never participated in an event. So them I used one of my transform things when the GMs showed up but then nothing was happening and then they announce hold on a sec (something along those lines) so I was like glad I had my other but then they provided transform mounts. And I kept starting to run when I saw anyone move because I didn't want to be last (which I ended up being anyways pretty much). Then during the race I got the giggles. Thought I could try to cheat by transforming and then running to the front and using my other transform thing but didn't take into consideration the time of transformation so killed my horse and used both of my transform items, but I made it! Is there like a stream or secret chat that I'm not aware of where the GM is telling people what to do? If so, can someone please key me in because I was lost most of the time! They would have transported you to the spot for the race...

If you did not get this, then I dont think you'll have been considered for participation.

Yes. Was the very first person at the grahlia place. I had never been there before. I actually went there via horse from Velia... thought I had to be in that location. I kept switching chat windows too. Was actually talking on general chat. Did not see any green text at all.

even with a server wide announcement they have to do it in 1 place, and general chat is pretty local so it proves you were there

So for the event yesterday, rewards has not been sent yet.
If you typed the phrase mentioned through-out the 10 or so rounds then you would indeed be counted
If you also won you will receive rewards as well but again they're not sent yet.
For the recent Race event, you would have to had been in a platoon to be counted this was to keep it a bit smaller to avoid any problems.
If you were not in any of the three platoon's then sadly there's not much we can do since it wouldn't be fair to others who did not get a chance to participate due to the platoon limitation that was imposed by design.
We do plan to do more events & can only recommend checking our GM/CM Events channel. Sometimes the event will not be limited for participation (which was the case yesterday).

That's why I showed up and spent almost an hour participating in something I got/get no credit for. I'm sorry, but like I said before, maybe events aren't meant for the 5-month old newb(s) like me and more for the "good ol' boys" who know what they're doing and have been around the block before. I asked questions when I don't understand or know how to do something in game. See first post. Was upset I didn't get credit for that but it was my first go so I did what everyone else was doing (which is the advice I received about the hide and seek after-the-fact questions I had) and still didn't get it counted. Yes there will definitely be more events, but if the rules are different and very little, clear instructions then I shouldn't even waste my time. From the original race post this is how I interrupted it... I needed to be in the place in the video OR there would be an announcement in game and I would have to race to the place that was announced. I figured a platoon invite was like a party invite (which I'm not too smart on in the first place). Also, I'm not asking to receive some kind of special treatment. I'm asking for clear instructions that new players can follow to participate in events and have fun. And my boyfriend who has been playing BD for years (first BDO, then BDC) couldn't make heads or tails out of the instructions provided. Not trying to argue. Just giving y'all some suggestions that if you want new players to participate, it might help if you made the instructions super simple so even simpleton newbs (like me) can understand what to do to participate.

I won't get credit for the hide and seek because I didn't type found Ash in the chat. The first thing I did when the GMs and CM showed up in the race event today was type found Ash in the general chat because I thought that's what I was supposed to do. I knew there was supposed to be a platoon invite because I saw the event post beforehand, but I've hardly ever been in a party, let alone a platoon so that's why I asked after the fact. Also, GM Ash just said that if I wasn't in a platoon then I will not be counted, so I don't have to wait until tomorrow because I wasn't in a platoon.
I'm not trying to argue or start anything. I'm just trying to figure out how to participate in events because I thought it would be fun. A newb trying to learn how not to be so much of a newb.

I have. I did that as soon as the notice was given.
During the event today I was even looking at the event thread to see if they were giving instructions through there and maybe I was just missing it. That's also why I thought (my boyfriend suggested this one to me) that the GMs were live streaming instructions (and why I asked above).
But I see no green chat at all.

My boyfriend wasn't able to figure it out. But some people on BDO had kind of an issue and I'm going to try that when I get on next time. Something to do with making chat international or something.
Will let you know if it works and then I will post in my other question in case someone ever has this problem again. Because I do need to get this fixed and I wasn't even aware that gms spoke in chat because I had never seen them speak in chat since I started playing in May or June. So it has to be a setting I messed with and didn't know what I was doing (which is how I usually learn about complex games like this one (push buttons that don't have explanations until I figure it out). I also jump into wells that aren't covered if I can't see the bottom... first (and most times) I had to use escape. I love exploring and experiencing most of what a game has to offer. And I can't help but jump in those wells just in case there's a secret to be found!

Ok so. My setting was set to English so I changed it to International. I cant really test it out until the event tonight if there is one. I'm crossing my fingers that works because if it doesn't then I have no idea how to fix it and I will miss out on the event unless I do what everyone else is doing lol. I did ask my boyfriend about the event the other day (the race) and he said he remembered a bunch of people entering x in general chat. Since I couldn't see the green GM chat, we didn't know what all the x's were for. If I'm busy irl tonight when they have the event, I will make sure my boyfriend is watching general chat on my Xbox so that we will be able to tell for sure if changing from English to International helped!
If that doesn't work, should I put in a support ticket to see if it's something with the game? If so, how do I do that? Just want to be prepared so hopefully I can get this fixed asap so I don't have to miss out on any more events.
Oops. Just saw the bug report thread. Just put it in there if my changes didn't fix it?
