Hey all, I have this 2001 Forester with the 4eat, was wondering if someone's seen this before. Leaking ATF from somewhere around the bell housing area,can see it dripping off the power steering rack and the front diff. Cleaned it all up and took it for a light spin, and this is what I see. ATF pooling around the diff case and the power steering rack but the lines aren't leaking.
Only thing I can think of is the torque converter seal, but that's quite a big job so going to see if someone else has an opinion
first noticed it when I got off the freeway and the underside started smoking like crazy, when I got home it was an active drip. After cleaning it off it's a very slow drip
