I'm looking to visit the Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center next month, and on their website I've seen a schedule on what days they are open, also showing if there will be test runs that day. The one thing I can't find though is if they have a schedule, or how many runs there will be.

Does anyone know if they generally are doing test runs all day long? Or is it just one or a few runs at some undisclosed time?

Very little hope for actually riding the thing, but would love to at least see it zip by.....

There are 4 Test Run on the test day
If you want to ride the train. Sad to say. It's not open to Non-Japanese.

JAPAN RAIL CLUB

At the Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Centre, go on a 500km/h ride on the fastest shinkansen ever! JR Central has been organising test rides where you can ride the latest L0 Series of the shinkansen on a 42.8km test track.

Ah thanks, that's a useful article! On the official website it's all a bit vague and kinda random, but it seems it's a pretty strict schedule they are running on. So as long as I pick a day they are doing those test runs on (which are posted on the official site), I should be good.

Would be so cool to ride it, but it is what it is. At least I have already experience 431 km/h at the Shanghai maglev.....
