Unable to switch Garry’s Mod to x86-64 Chromium on GeForce NOW

Hi,

I recently subscribed to GeForce NOW Ultimate mainly to play Garry’s Mod on heavy addon/FastDL servers.

The performance is excellent and the game runs very smoothly, but I’m experiencing constant crashes on some servers because I cannot switch Garry’s Mod to the x86-64 Chromium branch.

Many servers explicitly recommend using the x86-64/Chromium version to avoid crashes and addon issues. On a normal Steam installation, this can be enabled through:
Properties → Betas → x86-64 Chromium

However, on GeForce NOW:

• the beta selection appears clickable,
• but selecting x86-64 does nothing,
• Steam does not apply the branch,
• and the game keeps launching on the default version.

I tested this both on the GeForce NOW app and browser version.

Because of this, some servers crash during loading or at “Ready to Play”, especially servers with large FastDL/addon collections.

Could you please:

• allow Steam beta branch switching for Garry’s Mod,
• or make the x86-64 Chromium version available by default on GeForce NOW?

This is especially frustrating because I specifically paid for GeForce NOW Ultimate for this experience, and I would genuinely continue paying for many months if this issue was resolved.

Right now, Garry’s Mod becomes almost unplayable on many servers because I constantly crash due to being unable to use the x86-64 Chromium branch.
