I found this workaround online but gfn worked great before but now it's stuck infinitely loading user data.

I've tried everything and nothing has worked. It still stays at loading user data and eventually just says I don't own the game even though I do.

Visit Steam and add the game to your account, via local PC. You can do it via browser, as well.
And yes, you can do it also via mobile app.

It's already added though. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to mark as owned on gfn right? Am I missing something?

You can still mark games as owned if you don't own them, but what I'm saying is to add the game to your library on your end, not GFN's.
