Can I see your settings
Like the gfn app
im at work at the moment.. but i can show when im home on lunch
i hope so.. because it was running beatufil before
Also whereabouts are you located
lousiana
It could be a server routing issue
Will keep in mind
ive tried all the us servers, and the farther it got the worse it became.. i literally noticed it when signing into my xbox account.. i noticed the the screen resolution was getting awful.. so i checked my stats and bam.. packet loss and frame loss was through the roof.. so now everytime i connect to a server immediatley check the stats
Dallas is the closest server to you, which would be US Central
Followed by Atlanta
Which is us south
You can force it to connect to the closest one in the settings
Also are you using WiFi or do you connect an Ethernet cable to the device
Laptop pc whatever
ethernet.. and pc
windows
all drivers up to date etc.. latest ethernet drivers also
ya idk lol.. it was running great until friday.. so im a little lost honestly.. but as soon as i get home ill screenshot my settings.. and also screenshot what it looks like before i boot up a game
with the stats
Thanks
when did that start for you?
ya my up and down speed is over 900 each
last couple weeks I believe
happen everytime?
most of the time
interesting.. im assuming ethernet connection etc
ya wired or wireless doesn't matter - 0 packetloss from ISP
frames are just dropping in the stream
ya im getting packet loss and frame drops..
if you downgrade resolution it works fine
tech came out, changed out ethernet cable, changed out modem, and checked the wires with whatever tool they use... everything checked out
but i continue to get high packet and frame loss
just started on friday
yup, 100% it's GFN servers in the US here
annoyed at the moment
had been running smoothly until then.. luckily i got an xbox and ps5 to play on the side
you can always contact support and listen to them gaslight you about it being your connection - it's fun times
ya that doesnt sound fun lol
lol
would seem like a waste of time..
ive even tried it at work in the browser.. we have 10 gig interent at work and i get high af packet and frame loss as well
running at 1080p
ping low af tho lol.. 5 or 6
720 stream has no frame drop is all i can figure out
Hmm ok I'll try that
@sullen flame I'd set your max bit rate to auto for troubleshooting (or lower it).
any reason setting it 75 would be an issue? just curious
i have zero issue adjusting it.. just curious lol.. figured more would be better
uses more bandwidth - so if it's a network issue with GFN servers (as I suspect it is) then it will help to lower this so long as it's sufficient to support your resolution / framerate
10-4 thanks.. ill give it a go later when home
balanced option will look like ass but will also work as a temporary work around
ill try it later and see.. appreciate it
Disable adjusting for poor network conditions
And keep your custom settings
yeah I wouldn't ever use that setting either
Balanced is pointless
browser and app shouldnt make a difference either right
Shouldn’t but app is better
Not even in game and it's doing it.. so frigging over it
Ok
That’s US central
And if it routes you to some other server and not “(DAL)”
OK trying it again
Miami bad?
Far away from you
Real test will be gaming now lol
Good luck
Never use “auto”
It doesn’t operate under the same logic you do
I see that lol.. thanks again my man.. have a wonderful night
Likewise, enjoy the game
Much appreciated
