just today l4d2 had a update with bugs and stuff and i had to update it so i had to wait for 2 hours and already still waitng this long i started the update at 4:56 and still didnt update when its 6:23

Update process and maintenance can take as long as they need. ETA isn't never provided.

So, you have to keep waiting.
