My games look like this after launching them. Sometimes it lasts for 5+ minutes and goes away, but often lasts much longer and/or comes back after a few minutes. Does anyone know a fix? GFN tech support couldnt help me.

#

This has now lasted for almost six months.

Oh good god.

#

Have you updated your drivers?

Sorry for not listing everything I have done over the past months. The problem is quite exhausting.

#

Yes drivers have been updated, deleted with drive remover and updated again. GFN said it might be related to engines (Unreal etc) acting up because they are resistent to streaming, but I have no clue how to fix this.

#

-The artifacts dont appear if I play over Chrome and not the app/program. Its not the same experience and after months I desperately want to get back to GFN proper.

Have you tried to reinstall Windows?

#

If you do this, you can choose to keep your files, only installed applications such as Chrome, Discord, GFN, will be deleted, and if you have any credentials, then back them up,

#

Also just backup your data too just in case something happens.

I see.

Both on my laptop and desktop PC the image blurs every now and then while playing over Chrome. Feels like every 20 minutes.
Changing settings or even switching to another Network at my work doesnt affect this.
Reason for using Chrome to play games is the original pictures of this thread. The artifacts make anything else unplayable.

How about your ping (ms) and your internet speeds (download/upload)?

#

Is your ping stable

Increase your screen resolution and bit-rate in the stream settings.

Turn off auto adjust and the resolution.

Also, always do all the tests starting from the lowest stream settings possible. Then, you can increase as long it doesn't face any issues.

Like, set your bitrate to 15 Mbps. This setting you are able to increase during any gaming session.

Lower that resolution to 1280x720.

Set your frame rate to 60 FPS.

Try, from the currently Off, to change your V-Sync to all the other available options.

And as Luna suggested, disable that Adjust for poor network conditions.
This part, we recommend to always keep it disabled.

All the other recommendations, as I said above, are just for testing purposes.

^I tried various adjustments to all the available settings last summer, but I will run another battery of tests.

Network doesnt seem to degrade. Its very rare that I get network conditions that would lower my settings temporarily.

#

I still cant play using the GFN application due to the artifacts so I remain locked to playing over Chrome.

#

I'll report back tomorrow after I have tried the various suggestions and checked if resetting router helps with ping stability.

After extensive testing this is what worked:

#

Now the problem is massive input delay from the mouse.

#

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt has immense delay making it unplayable. Changing ingame settings has not helped, reset router and tried the usual tricks but no luck.

#

Was there a change to the ini files that allowed for more setting changes in GFN? I will googlefu and see what happens.

#

I lowered the mouse usb polling rate to 125hz but that didnt help. Having said that the logitech software couldnt accomplish it so I tried the hardware instead, but changing it had no effect to the Bloodhunt ingame mouse delay

Update: Lowering resolution to 1920 x 1080 removes the mouse input lag, but with higher resolutions it remains in most FPS style games. Exception is Darktide where there is a stutter every 10 seconds.
