Guys i have a question about creating leafs but idk in what channel i need to put it in? I have imported an fbx inside of my project and im using it for tree generation but the problem is that the shadows on the leafs are so heavy and too strong, can i edit this in the fbx settings? Or how can i change this? maybe with a shader?

my shadergraph
i also have an animation for the leaves but i dont think the problem is in there
What is the view-dependent emission meant to do here?
Start by just adding a bit of the base color into emission
so from the multiply to the emmision?
Sure, start with that and see how it looks
You probably want to multiply the emission with like 0.1 though
So it just brings out the shadows a bit
without the multiply even
(This solution will ofc look weird at nighttime - you'd need to adjust the emission based on time of day if that's an issue)
aah fk, i forgot to mention
Isn't that better?
im using Mtree as a tree generator tool
You can do more, but then you probably want to cancel the base color out a bit
in there i have the option to turn off the shadows
alright, its meant to be stylized, how would i be able to cancel out the base color more?
aah, ye i even want it lighter tbh
I mean make the emission higher, but make the base color darker so it doesn't burn out
Also subsurface scattering is a thing in HDRP at least, not sure about URP
You can't really "cancel out" the color of a lit shader, because dark and bright colors will still reflect light
im in HDRP
I mean canceling out the effect of cranking up the emission. Not sure if we want these areas even brighter
the thing is, when cranking up the emission nothing happens
How are you doing it?
like it shows that its going up but in my scene it stays the same
is that because of my tree generater tool?
Dont know if you guys are familiar with Mtree
Nope, no idea about that
Damn, its just a tool to generate the leaves around the tree, when i turn of the "cast shadow" option its like i want it to be but then i have 0 shadow anymore
aah no, no im wrong
No idea why it wouldn't update in the scene - are you in scene/game view? Maybe auto-exposure is evening it out?
sorry
no its not...
Did you save the shader graph?
Left image looks like shader graph preview
ye it is
Did you check ShadowIntensity's value in the material's inspector?
So absolutely nothing happens when you adjust it?
