It could be a hardware issue
APV debug visualization seems to be really resource intensive
You can try baking a small local APV in a test scene and see if visualizing that causes the issue
Can also try other editor versions, especially if you're using some unstable release
Right now I'd say 6.0 is the newest editor that works reliably
i have other scene and it shows probes fine
i am using 6.3 but unity has marked it LTS so it should be stable
It's rather not, and not quite what that means
LTS just means it'll get updates for a long time
It's a brand new release right now
by any chance is this a sign that probes are not baked properly or not baked at all
Since it works in other scenes, that does point out to it being an issue specific to that scene's lighting data
