#Increased darkness when looking through my portal Camera

I have a portal mechanics which works as intended, gameplay-wise. However, when reaching a small, somewhat arbitrary treshhold, the playerCam rotation darkens a specific part of the portalCam render and I'm unsure how to fix this.

I have tried disabling all light/shadow settings on all cameras/meshes/lights involved (player included), disabled post-processing, and the portal cameras have the portal layer removed to avoid rendering it.

I have found that this "arbitrary threshold" changes depending on the portal camera's near clipping plane distance (i.e. the bigger it is, the farther you need to be from the portal to see the shadow. Right now, it's most appearant the smaller the near clipping distance is so augmenting it mitigate somewhat the issue, but I was as small of a near clipping plane as possible.

Thank you for the help!

Does the ground plane material have metallic/smoothness? Those could cause different shades for portals at different rotations
