I have a pitch black room and I want one spot light in the middle but it isnt showing. Ive tested in other projects and it works because Rendering Layers is Everything but in my main project its set to default and I cant change it to anything else. It says "Rendering Layers are disabled because they have a small GPU performance cost. To enable this setting, go to the active Universal Render Pipeline Asset, and enable Lighting -> Use Rendering Layers."

I cannot find any button saying Use Rendering Layers. I asked multiple AI`s and they couldnt help me either.

Check that the light is realtime, and that the room's materials are using a lit shader
Could show screenshots of the room, the materials and the light properties

#

And if the spot light isn't working, are other types then?

When I created a new URP project it automatically made it everything for rendering layers but when I set that to default the same problems happened

Oh, your scene window is in debug mode

#

It's only visualizing baked light

#

Click the rightmost orb, next to the bug

Sorry yes directional light does work but I dont want that in my game

#

Ive done the thing you said but it still doesnt work

Im not in debug mode anymore.

#

Directional light shows up but everything else doesn`t. Ive tried increasing intensity and range alot but they dont show up. I think it might be cause rendering layers is disabled cause it works fine when its set to everything on other projects but I just cant set it to everything on the VR project..

Rendering layers can only be used to exclude lights
It's a random detail to fixate on

#

If it's a VR template, chances are it disables additional realtime lights entirely, by default

Directional realtime lights work

Find your active URP asset to check

#

By default they are in a "Settings" folder in your project

#

But Project Settings>Quality has references to them per quality level, so you can find the currently active one

silk owl
#

Yes, I found the active URP asset

ornate mirage
#

"Additional lights" is the relevant setting

silk owl
#

Theres no Lighting tab

ornate mirage
#

Not the right asset and not the right place to look

silk owl
#

Its working now thanks

ornate mirage
#

That's the "global settings" asset which is different
Quality tab has the quality levels with a URP asset each

#

Meaning you had to enable additional lights?

silk owl
#

Yes

#

On Quality URP Config

Great ^^
You can also use the Quality tab to swap between URP assets and define which are used by the built application
