#Problem with Cross-Section Shader

I'm struggling a bit to figure out how I can add surfaces to the sliced areas of objects. In my case I only want the objects to be sliced at a certain distance from the center (Essentially a sphere).

What I've found is that you can create an illusion by altering the inside faces of the objects. However, if the object is clipping / has objects inside it breaks the illusion.

I've also tried to have a sphere object that would only render in front of the opened area, but got nowhere with that.

Other than that I've only seen a few paid assets that seems like they do what I want, and a lot more. But I feel like this should be achievable?
