here you go

celest hemlock
#

May I send the photos?

white jay
#

please do

celest hemlock
#

Or should I make a own threat?

white jay
#

that would just make this thread useless lol

celest hemlock
#

wait rq

#

Is this enough?

white jay
#

i don't doubt that you've tried to configure VS before.

if you aren't getting intellisense, that's a sign that the ide is currently not configured. so obviously something has gone wrong. the first step to try to fix an unconfigured ide is to try to configure it again

celest hemlock
#

Are you able to spot my mistake using the photos?

#

I am able to provide more information

celest swift
#

Before continuing, press this button and reopen project file in IDE

white jay
#

i don't use VS myself, so i don't know what the proper flow would look like aside from just a description of the steps

celest hemlock
#

And yes the external script editor is set.

#

Just for information

white jay
#

but the first image does confirm your ide isn't configured currently (though not because of the lack of intellisense, but rather the lack of syntax highlighting)

#

lack of intellisense is somewhat hard to convey in screenshots lol. i don't doubt that that symptom is there, just that it's not evident in the image

celest hemlock
#

But let me follow the other dude's advice.

white jay
#

it's not configured, mate

#

if it were configured, it'd have syntax highlighting, intellisense, and static checking - that's what it means to be configured

celest hemlock
#

Thank you for being this calm, the other moderator in the other channel was not very nice.

white jay
#

everyone else has been pretty calm yknow

celest hemlock
celest swift

Concentrate on the task at hand.

celest hemlock
#

Yes, sorry.

white jay
#

im not sure if you've done that, it kinda sounds like you've been skipping over steps that you've done previously

celest hemlock
#

I clicekd regenerate project files.

celest swift
#

And open any script

I clicked here and it opened this.

#

Still nothing happened

white jay
#

do you have the solution open in VS, or is it showing "Miscellaneous files"?

celest hemlock
#

Althought I did this

celest swift
#

So we back to where you didn't follow instructions properly.

white jay
#

isn't there like, some button to confirm that

English isn't my first language.

#

Sorry.

celest swift
#

If you are unable to comprehend them, just uninstall Unity and VS, then install them cleanly from the Hub

celest hemlock
#

What does solution mean in this context?

white jay
#

basically whether the project is open or if you're just opening random files (from VS's perspective)

celest hemlock
white jay
celest hemlock
#

So not a random file.

white jay
#

that's also not what i asked

celest swift
#

Follow instructions.

white jay
#

you haven't said so, not making assumptions here

celest hemlock
#

"or if you'Re just opening random files".

No I am not openeing random files.

white jay
#

(from VS's perspective)
