#configuring VS

May I send the photos?
please do
Or should I make a own threat?
that would just make this thread useless lol
i don't doubt that you've tried to configure VS before.
if you aren't getting intellisense, that's a sign that the ide is currently not configured. so obviously something has gone wrong. the first step to try to fix an unconfigured ide is to try to configure it again
Are you able to spot my mistake using the photos?
I am able to provide more information
Before continuing, press this button and reopen project file in IDE
i don't use VS myself, so i don't know what the proper flow would look like aside from just a description of the steps
Alr wait rq.
And yes the external script editor is set.
Just for information
but the first image does confirm your ide isn't configured currently (though not because of the lack of intellisense, but rather the lack of syntax highlighting)
lack of intellisense is somewhat hard to convey in screenshots lol. i don't doubt that that symptom is there, just that it's not evident in the image
That's the problem. as far as I know it is configured, but it doesn't syntax highlight.
But let me follow the other dude's advice.
it's not configured, mate
if it were configured, it'd have syntax highlighting, intellisense, and static checking - that's what it means to be configured
Thank you for being this calm, the other moderator in the other channel was not very nice.
everyone else has been pretty calm yknow
Well where should I configure it else?
Concentrate on the task at hand.
Yes, sorry.
you wouldn't be configuring somewhere else, you'd just configure VS again
im not sure if you've done that, it kinda sounds like you've been skipping over steps that you've done previously
I clicekd regenerate project files.
And open any script
Alr sir.
actually with some more thought, not sure that applies to VS, the configuration steps seem pretty different to VSC and that's what i'm used to lol
I did.
I clicked here and it opened this.
Still nothing happened
do you have the solution open in VS, or is it showing "Miscellaneous files"?
Althought I did this
So we back to where you didn't follow instructions properly.
isn't there like, some button to confirm that
It says "No problems found"
Please specify
that's not what i asked
If you are unable to comprehend them, just uninstall Unity and VS, then install them cleanly from the Hub
What does solution mean in this context?
Why what's wrong?
basically whether the project is open or if you're just opening random files (from VS's perspective)
It's the right file, same script.
yeah, there's an install button. have you actually installed them or did you just click the checkboxes
So not a random file.
that's also not what i asked
Ofc I did lol
What do you mean what's wrong? I already told you what's wrong. Stop spamming random messages.
Follow instructions.
you haven't said so, not making assumptions here
"or if you'Re just opening random files".
No I am not openeing random files.
(from VS's perspective)
You said I didn't follow instructions properly. But in my opinion I did, and I can't spot the mistake. Could you please specify it?
You ping me again and I will mute you.
(:
could you just take a screenshot of your ide window
For the last time, stop the spam and follow the intructions
