With 6.4b2 we've reached a point where entities 6.4.0 and the standalone package have started to diverge and it's become a problem because the 6.4.0 branch seems to be forked off 1.4.2 and even though 1.4.3 released 2 months ago, 6.4.0 is still missing the bug fixes that it contains. I was previously patching 6.4.0 with 1.4.3 changes but they're starting to conflict so it's becoming increasingly painful to patch them in myself, which I really feel is not something I should have to be doing anyway.
