this game, if can i call it this way, is inspired by Alien isolation for the great AI used, which makes the alien learn what you do, and Amnesia: the Bunker, for the amazing problem solving and world interactivity, but also for the HEAVY resource management. in short, this game will be focused around a mutated bear that learns your traps and evolves every time you kill him, making it more bullet-resistent and better hearing/detection.

this is my truly first unity project, and every day of work will be recorded and posted before i go to bed, if you really wanted to know

#

Day 2: learned blender and made this gun, fully rigged and textured

#

day 4: learned pathfinding, it wasnt that hard, but the making of a complete modular NPC system was extremely difficult. i learned delegates and events, which took me alot of headaches and 3 hours, but it revealed to be so awesome and i was able to do a full npc system reusable for further enemies and projects, without tutorials AND the necessity to modify it (this took me a full hour but i enjoyed it).

the system includes:

  • Pathfind
  • Health (with takeDamage(), Heal(), HealthChanged(), onDeath() )
  • Perfectly customizable and accessible from other objects
  • every custom component works perfectly fine alone and can be used even for the player itself
