I looked back through about 30 posts tagged "code review" -- To me "help" requests are different than code review. Usually I think of code review as a process imediately before merging code.

I guess "When in Rome"...

It did start some amazing conversations in the VR channel, just not in the code-general channel.

Also what is the significance of the "advanced" tag here?

The difference is pretty much in the usage of the channels. Code channels are primarily for asking for help with something. In case of code review, like it was mentioned by few other people, you should clarify what specific feedback you are expecting.

If you just posting something as a resource and also expecting conversation about it, #1179447338188673034 is a much better option.

As for "advanced" tag in the code channel forums, it's not something well defined, just denotes that a question likely not something that beginners would be interested in and could tackle topics not covered by basic tutorials, or esoteric ones.
