Visual Studio Code IDE configuration never working at all

I've tried to configure it like 10 times, video tutorials, with help from others, but nothing works at all. ive spent my entire day trying to get it to work, just trying to get into a hobby and then this happens for no reason. Please someone help this is the most annoying thing ive seen and microsoft are useless

Make sure you have, C#, C# Dev kit and the Unity Extensions. I think that's all i needed to make it work

What version of unity are you using?

Make sure you setup your preferences here aswell like I did, then you can try and press Regenerate Project Files. in Edit > Preferences > External Tools

i do have them exactly like that, i click regenrate so many times

i do not understand why this happens

i installed VS code from unity hub

Rider is a very solid choice as well

I had to install dotnet10 and I have to open my whole project rather than the individual scripts. As a result, it started highlighting syntax errors in Visual Studio Code.
