So... I'm kind of new to discord. I posted 2 videos to "daily win" this morning, one was a quick comment on programmers who get imposter syndrome recorded with my VR avatar, and one was a screencast of a prototype VR walking game I've been working on for a couple of weeks. The bot kicked me for self promo. I understand that the first video might be OT, but the second one was squarely a daily win.
#Unity bot is oversensitive to self-promotion

You posted YouTube videos with ramblings without any context.
#🏆┃daily-win is not for promoting your YouTube channel vids
ok understood - can you clarify what you mean by "context"? Meaning source-code walk through, or other technical exegesis? I'm not selling anything. My youtube chanel is just how I document 3D projects. I just want to make sure I understand so I don't fly afoul of regs again.
Comment what are you actually showcasing, what was the "daily win"
Ok. I guess I should have said more about the character controller in the second video. That's what the win was - extrapolating VR motion from arm swing.
If you just want to keep dev log, then #1180170818983051344 is more suitable. (For video diaries, etc.)
#🏆┃daily-win is for a very short form posts.
If I can make a human appeal or offer a bit of caution: a lot of us are working really hard in isolation. To put your heart and soul into a project and get the door slammed in your face by your community is really almost existentially problematic. I don't particularly care in my own case, and I recognize that moderating a discord is really hard, but I've noticed a pattern of really abrupt, coarse responses to people genuinely looking to reach out in unity-talk.
I apologise for dismissing your second video as well, it was more inline with a showcase log. We get promotional posts in that channel too often and questioning its usefulness now.
But still do note that video log content is not suitable for that channel, you can post that in #1180170818983051344
