#Metallic surface in interiors receiving sky color

Hi!

I'm a beginner with Reflection Probes, and I'm not sure how to stop metallic surfaces in my interior from reflecting the sky (HDRP).

The probe fixed the reflections on the floor and walls (they were showing the sky color before), but the metallic surfaces are still having that problem... 😅

(It's day time on this screenshot outside the building)

Thanks for help!

# strong shadow Hi! I'm a beginner with Reflection Probes, and I'm not sure how to stop metall...

I believe the reflection probe didn't fix the floor and walls, they are lit by diffuse lighting which reflection probes do not contribute to, and when generating baked GI diffuse light will be occluded naturally
Metallic materials are only lit by specular, meaning reflection probes and realtime reflections
The probe's floating icon is showing a fully bright environment without diffuse light being occluded, which is what the specular lighting in its range is
Hence the blue sheen on non-metallic materials as well
So it's possible the reflection probe was baked first before diffuse lighting was calculated, so you may be able to fix it by re-baking the probes only

Thanks for the reply! I might've forgotten to mention that I'm currently using HTrace World Space GI. I'm not using any baked lighting, everything is real-time.
The reflection probe is also real-time, currently Every Frame for testing purpose.

And the lighting around it reflects that

Do you think there's another way, besides using a Reflection Probe, to prevent the sky from lighting up my interior room?

There is the Indirect Lighting Controller that can reduce or nullify environment reflections to stop outside light
But it'll stop all light, so you don't get expected reflections from within the room
All metals would be solid black
