Let me check if they're are good Krita tutorials on this topic, that make sense.

I paid for Affinity suite also, and now I know that was wasted because it seems worst software for this purpose.

Also, if you search the Unity Asset Store for Channel Packer you sohuld find at least three free tools for the job
