#HDRP Water is broken and unity won't fix it, what should I do?

Hello,

I wanted to use HDRP water in my project, but it turned out that in versions 6000.0.10f1 and later, they made some changes that broke the underwater effect and ProjectPointOnWaterSurface method, which makes the system completely useless if you want to interact with the water in any way.

The issue was already reported and I was waiting for it to be fixed, but today I noticed it was marked as "Won't Fix" which is crazy to me. It was working perfectly fine in previous versions.

What should I do now? Give up on the water system? Go back to an older version? I hope it was some mistake and they're gonna fix the issue.
