i made a custom toon shader to use on terrain but im getting these annoying artifacts around where the light is tangential to the geometry. is there any way to prevent this from happening

no i just put it here just in case someone has a magical solution for it

ill just disable shadows unless i figure something out

Modifying the toon ramp to hide the shadow threshold is likely as magical as it'll get

But I welcome more ideas

The casted shadow is covering nearly 50% anyway, and is sharp too

Just the artifacts would be covered as well
